They were married on 12 October 2019 at a ceremony in Peckham, South East London. This was then a reception in Deptford; a warehouse converted into a cool film and photography studio, plus an events space.
Esther's flower girls looked lovely within the tulle girls dresses. The bridesmaids were gifted gold triangle necklaces and wore their very own outfits and gold shoes.
"My bridesmaids are a bunch of fiercely independent women with their very own styles, so I didn't wish to tell them getting a great look or make sure they are all wearing the same thing. Instead, I gave them a financial budget and my florist's color pattern, plus they went off to locate something."
Esther was built with a wonderful experience of choosing and commissioning her spectacular wedding outfit, and I adore how the appearance came together with her shoes and accessories in the most charming, celestial-inspired way. She headed to a beautiful flagship boutique, where she chose a structured, high-low silk skirt with pockets.
"I wanted something modern, but bridal. I think the pleats and pockets on my small Halfpenny skirt combined with the exquisite detail around the star embellished top and cape from Julita achieved that. I was comfortable all day long, whilst also feeling such as the best version of myself."
"Martin ordered his suit. They are an ethical company that reduces its profit margin and dispenses with retailers to be able to pay fair wages. I will don't know how, but I am grateful they checked!"
Martin also wore a funky bird print tie, and 'Nairn' Derby shoes inside a lovely cherry grain, too. The groomsmen wore their very own suits because as using the bridesmaids, Esther and Martin preferred they choose their very own, non-matching outfits to match their personalities.
"I wanted the day to become relaxed, fun, along with a bit theatrical, and also the venues did most from the work in that regard, together with plentiful booze along with a good gang of guests. We tried to not overdo it on décor, really just sticking with flowers and lighting to allow the buildings to do their thing."
"Ahead of the first dance, Esther and Martin gave guests a set of rainbow heart light diffraction glasses to put on, plus they stepped out together to You've Got the Love by Candi Staton."
"Music was by. Paddy was great – I gave him an overall guide towards the music we like and also the music we don't, and that he smashed it out from the park. No needless chat, no wedding music. The dancefloor was full through the night, that was exactly what we wanted."
