A Modern + Minimalist Wedding

Meet Eve, a visual merchandiser, and Carl, a buyer.

They were married around 4 August 2018 in Manchester, so as creatives and art lovers, it had been the perfect venue choice all-round.

It's the ruffled, fluttering sleeves I like most about Eve's bridal gowns, combined with the ivory floral embroidery.

"I like it because it had been one of the kind! I chose it originally due to the beautiful embroidered fabric, and also the very special piping and eyelets. I knew I loved, it but I will have to tweak it to make it my own, and excellent for me."

"When Hannah and I met the very first time, I knew she was the main one! She got us, and our vision from the get-go. We wanted modern and complicated, which's what she gave us. My bouquet was beautiful, full of greenery and excellent pink pops to make it stand out from the rest. We also wanted modern and complicated flowers, which's what Hannah gave us."

"We stuck to mostly greenery with whites (plenty of them). They were on the stairs, on the aisle, as well as on every window ledge around the corner. She also created an incredible flower trellis wall."

I love whimsical jewelry designs, and Eve was lucky enough to get to wear two pieces; given to her by Carl around the day of the wedding, along with bright gold.

Eve and Carl first met at college, just below ten years ago, once they were both aged 17. They were friends throughout college, however, drifted apart, reconnecting via Facebook four years later.

"We went for any beer to trap up, and we haven’t parted since. Carl’s proposal was one of probably the most special proposals ever! He planted the ring during my advent calendar for Christmas 2017."

"It was the 23 December, I was in the bedroom in our newly renovated home, within our pajamas, and I visited my advent calendar and opened this area. I had no idea, it had been the best surprise ever! We didn't have a long engagement and decided to marry in August, just 7 months later! Now that takes some organization!" Click

Carl was waiting to have a beaming smile, wearing a deep blue suit, together with having a checked waistcoat. He also wore a shirt and shoes, and I love that mint green tie!

White balloons soared within the double-height ceiling, also becoming table centerpieces, with pastel-colored bunting strung in the windows.

"We used flowers and stationery to produce impact. We also had different-sized pillar candles, and vases within the center of our tables with greenery intertwined. We also had 3-foot white balloons for every table. This looked beautiful from the green within the Grand Hall. I also loved us bunting hanging over the top table – handmade on my own and my sisters, made from my Grandad's handkerchiefs."

"My favorite part of the day was the speeches. I've never happy cried more in my life! Every single one is special and private in its way, and there is much love within the room."

"She even took my bouquet throughout the meal and set it in ice water to ensure it had been fresh for that evening. Every person I talk to tells me how beautiful all of the photographs are, also it always brings me to happy tears! We look back at them with your joy, which feeling is priceless."

"To be honest, there isn't much I would change. I think you have to trust your decisions and merely enjoy your day! Try and take it all in because as cliché as it sounds, it's gone super fast!"

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Trust your decisions and become happy with them. Do not procrastinate – just go for this! I believe dwelling on things makes everything 10 times harder. Don't seem like you need to fit right into a certain style or theme. Go with what you would like; in the end, from the day it's your entire day!"
