Caroline And Niall's Intimate Wedding

A love of everything Japanese along with a nod towards the groom's Irish heritage made a uniquely stylish special day for this happy couple.

Caroline and Niall met in university halls eight years back. "The day I moved in I saw Niall working behind the campus bar," says Caroline. "Although it had not been quite loving in the beginning sight, I was attracted to him immediately. A couple of months along with a few shy conversations later we discovered we'd had lots of mutual friends along with a lot in keeping. Then we finally got together on the Halloween night out. Within a week or two I was spending time together virtually every day, and also the rest is history!"

One of the things that the couple bonded over immediately was an appreciation for those aspects of Japanese culture. "In September 2018 we were finally in the bank and planned our big trip around Japan," says Caroline. "When Niall proposed I was in an outdoor mountain hot spring in Yamanouchi, which we'd visited to determine the snow monkeys. I was both surprised and overwhelmed. It was so peaceful and serene and I couldn't make a more fitting proposal. Although, as I was wearing only towels, it had been quite a challenge for Niall to cover the ring!"

"Heading towards the bridal shops FeelTimes was the part of wedding ceremony planning I was least getting excited about," says Caroline. "I was worried about not feeling comfortable in anything. However, when I visited the feeltimes dresses online store I had this type of wonderful, relaxed shopping experience that I wound up enjoying every minute of it. I had such fun going through the dress selection. Then, after fitting some completely different styles of dresses, I wound up falling deeply in love with Dylan's boho wedding dress. I loved the tranquility of and boho feel, particularly the gorgeous off-the-shoulder sleeves. It also felt so light to maneuver in."

The couple married at The Wood Norton Hotel in Evesham, Worcestershire. "From the moment we arrived I knew it had been the one," says Caroline. "It felt just like a fairy tale French manor and also the views over the Vale of Evesham for the Cotswolds are stunning. I immediately started choosing wonderful locations for the photographs one of the hotel's beautiful grounds and gardens."

After postponing the marriage to 2020, Caroline and Niall eventually tied the knot on 13th June 2021. "The whole day felt like an absolute dream," says Caroline. "We didn't originally intend to have a small wedding but usually, with just 25 guests, the intimacy was lovely. Unfortunately, Niall's family in Ireland were sadly unable to attend due to the restrictions, however, they joined us during the day for the special moments, via Zoom"

"After an excellent morning preparing, my father walked me on the aisle to music from your favorite Japanese animated movie, Spirited Away," says Caroline. "The ceremony felt like an emotional blur but there have been constant smiles. Then we joined our guests outside for Pimms and Prosecco. It was the greatest day of the entire year so far and also the cold drinks were necessary!"

"We chose green and gold as our wedding colors to reflect Niall's Irish heritage and, due to our engagement, we also desired to tie Japan into the theme," says Caroline. "I made most of the marriage decorations myself, with matcha flavored chocolate as favors. The tables were named following the places we visited on our trip and we'd origami cranes everywhere, including topping our amazing three-tier green and gilded wedding cake."

Following the meal and speeches, all of the guests watched the newlyweds share a dance before a stress-free evening. "We weren't allowed dancing or perhaps a DJ because of restrictions," says Caroline. "but it had been wonderful simply to spend some relaxed time with these guests, talking the nighttime away."

"The most memorable moment for me personally was hearing our song start playing before I walked on the aisle, and knowing I was just a couple minutes from being in a position to marry my mate," says Caroline. "A few tears were shed before I even stepped within the room! There was additionally a great moment where my pal accidentally threw her favor throughout the confetti toss and there is a great online video of chocolate bouncing off my head in amongst all of the confetti!"

"Before we postponed our wedding I was very focussed on everything being perfect," says Caroline. "However, following the many goods and the bad of being unsure of if our big day would proceed, all of the stress from the small stuff melted away. All that mattered was having the ability to marry the individual I love probably the most. So, my advice would be that wedding ceremony planning should be an enjoyable experience, not a stressful one. Although it's natural to wish for every little thing perfect, these will not be the things that matter at the time or the stuff you remember in years in the future. Forget agonizing about the details and revel in every moment of marrying the main one you love, together with your favorite people with you!"
