Hannah and I were accustomed to working together in London not too long ago, so I couldn't wait for more information about her wedding.
The bride asked both her mum and her dad to accompany her to her mermaid wedding dress appointment and fell deeply in love with the endless options provided by the exquisite separates and accessories. Hannah chose a light coral, sequinned evening dress and added a sheer and floaty, chiffon over-layer.
"It would be a great experience because they had so much choice when it comes to unusual elegant dresses and cool separates you can use to build a dress-up costume up or down when it comes to adding belts and over-lace and sequin elements. India, my advisor, really was helpful. I went back for his or her charity sample sale and wound up saving a great deal."
"I chose this dress because it was backless and fitted with my relaxed Caribbean vibe. I loved the coral element and also the fact that I could take away the chiffon layer for that evening to change the dress."
"I loved it still were built with a short train and felt just like a wedding dress but represented our unusual day."
The couple exchanged rings bought in Brighton's The Lanes, before emerging into the summer sunshine along with a cloud of confetti.
After the ceremony, the time had come to the party, with music from the steel pan drums band, fun round the swimming pool, and, for that newlyweds, some portrait shots around the sweeping East Sussex Downs.
"The mums both designed a cake. One was my childhood chocolate cake and Doug's mum Ingrid designed a fantastic, iced cake with lemon, pineapple, and brandy butter elements and images from your holidays, with flowers and Aussie animals on."
"We had steel pan drums along with a dance hall channel for the silent disco. We desired to have a non-religious ceremony but with singing so guests sang the 'Dad's Army' theme tune along with a song from Disney's 'Robin Hood'."
Before the silent disco began, DJ took towards the decks, there was also an initial dance to the couple's favorite song.
"JP Cooper's 'Little House' is a unique song for all of us."
Words of Wedded Wisdom
Hannah: "Make sure you need to do things the right path and don't think something shouldn't participate in your day because it isn't traditional or it might raise eyebrows. If it could make you happy do it now – your day will be a lot more memorable for those involved."
Doug: "Don't cut costs around the photographer. It will be the very best money you've spent because they catch the moments you forget or weren't there to determine."
"Hiring a marriage planner not just takes the pressure off you but relieves a great deal of stress which may normally be studied on through the parents."
