An Autumnal Barn Wedding In The Sussex Countryside

Events and wedding manager Amy and farrier Sam were wed on 24th November 2018 in the stunning Warbleton Church in Heathfield, East Sussex, then a reception in the beautiful 140-acre in Gun Hill.

"We didn't possess a specific theme for that wedding, only a thread of ideas. Both Sam and I were raised in the countryside and feel lucky to become surrounded by such beauty. Sam was raised on a dairy farm, therefore getting married encompassed by the countryside and woodland was extremely important to us. The countryside heavily influenced the marriage and working within the wedding industry myself, this offered me a great knowledge of the important elements with regards to planning."

"I was surprised I chose a contemporary dress over vintage within the end but I loved the simplicity of the dress and also the detail from the lace, which made a bodice using the skirt dealing with an elegant individual style."

"I felt the sleeves made a romantic and feminine touch to the hands. I added beading towards the illusion silk edging to provide a finish across my collarbone and down my back."

"I decided on a full-length veil and I'd always wanted to enter church using the veil over my face. During my time as a wedding coordinator, it occurred in my experience that you rarely visit a bride together with her face covered within the veil for that ceremony. We had a conventional church service and felt the veil would reflect this."

"Sam is another very traditional man and I knew this would be a little touch he'd appreciate. The thought of walking on the aisle helped me very nervous but getting the veil over my face allowed me to cover behind it and provided the confidence to walk on the aisle."

"The navy bridesmaid dresses were from FeelTimes and I loved the design and style more than the navy color. We had them adopted to just over the ankle as I felt this gave the dress elegance and much more of an individual look." Click

"Sam and I happen to be together for 14 years – I was 15 whenever we met! We got together on 1st December and both love autumn and winter. On Saturday 16th December 2017, Sam inquired about marrying him. He proposed on Booby's Bay beach in North Cornwall. It was an attractive sunny winter morning and he popped the question around the rocks within the bay."

"We chose to photograph the marriage. I've known Sarah for a long period through my work and try to admire how she put her heart into every wedding she did. She has an attractive calming way about her making us instantly relax in front of the camera."

"When picking out a photographer, it's vital to choose someone you click with. A photographer a big part of your day and in all likelihood the one individual who is with you throughout it. Sarah was brilliant and she or he captured your day perfectly. I love her style and approach and feel she's an observer and predicts so well the moments that need to become captured forever."

"Sarah and her husband Alex work so brilliantly as a team and Sam and I loved enjoying our day together. Throughout the entire process, nothing was an excessive amount of trouble, from the pre-wedding meeting to the aftercare and presentation from the images. Their energy and commitment are the first rates."

"I loved every minute of the day and it a lot more than fulfilled our expectations. The feeling of celebration grew even larger hour by hour until we designed to leave within our taxi at nighttime. The energy within the room was overwhelming with joy and laughter and there's nothing I'd change – I just want to relive everything again!"

Words Of Wedded Wisdom

"Keep it easy and true to whom you both are. There's no need for elaborate themes. The most important thing is family and friends. Sam and I ensured we shared and enjoyed every moment together. If your guests help you both relax and live as soon as, they'll relax and join in using the celebrations too. Don't forget to possess fun and it is real!"
